Q: How is a Canadian Registered Education Savings Plain (RESP) reported on U.S. tax return?

A: U.S. owners of RESPs are required to report the income of RESPs and any gifts to RESPs. They are also required to file form 3530.  See the following links for more information:

Q: I'm a U.S. - Canadian citizen, I had received a Canadian T3?  What is a T3 and what is it issued for?

Q: What information is reported on T5, Box 15?

A: The gross foreign income received from sources outside Canada.  Check the Canada Revenue Agency for more information.
